OBJECTIVES AND CONTENTS

Objectives of the Course Unit: This course aims to provide the students with the knowledge of economic history and theory that will contribute to the interpretation of economic events.
Contents of the Course Unit: Contents of the course include the subjects such as Physiocracy, Classical and Neo-Classical Thought, Marxism, Keynesian.

Explain the historical processes of schools of economic thought. (2)
Interpret the differences and similarities between the schools of economics. (4)
Explain the schools of economic and their representatives. (2)
Describe the contributions made by thinkers who have influenced Mercantilism, Physiocratic, Classical, Neo-Classical, Keynesian and many more to the economics literature. (2)
Interpret the emergence of an economic paradigm. (4)
Explain the emerging paradigms along with their reasons. (2)
