OBJECTIVES AND CONTENTS

Objectives of the Course Unit: This course aims to introduce systematic about the political system, public organization, financial management and personnel management systems of some countries (France, United Kingdom, United States, Federal Germany, Russian Federation, Poland and Argentina) affecting the understanding of Turkish public administration and examination of public administration structures of these countries from a comparative perspective.
Contents of the Course Unit: Contents of the course include the subjects as in country examples from Continental Europe and Anglo-Saxon countries and from North and South America, comparison of public administration structures of countries as in Poland and Russia Federation with Turkish public administration structure.

KEY LEARNING OUTCOMES OF THE COURSE UNIT (On successful completion of this course unit, students/learners will or will be able to)

Explain the historical and theoretical knowledge about the stages of comparative method, comparative administration and comparative study.
Use comparative administration in social science.
Compare the traditions and management structures of the countries affecting the understanding of Turkish public administration.
Summarize the administrative structures of the countries given in the course.
Discuss the alternative solutions to public management problems in the light obtained comparative information.
