OBJECTIVES AND CONTENTS

Objectives of the Course Unit: This course aims to provide the students with the basis to evaluate the subtexts in the informatics complex by activating the passive student against the mass media
Contents of the Course Unit: Contents of the course include the subjects such as Classification of Mass Media, Summarizing the structure of media, Discussion of the place of media in society, Explanation of Communication Process, Comparison of Critical Approaches.

KEY LEARNING OUTCOMES OF THE COURSE UNIT (On successful completion of this course unit, students/learners will or will be able to)

List at least 3 of the media effects on social, cultural and economic life
Example the problems that may arise from the problem areas in the media tools
Solve the subtexts in informatics from mass media by leaving the passive relationship with mass media and by taking an active position
Critically analyze the impact of mass media by taking ethical principles as a framework.
Evaluate the contents of media within the context of the media contents
