OBJECTIVES AND CONTENTS

Objectives of the Course Unit: This course aims to define the concepts of political communication, elections, party politics, reflections of these issues in the press and addressing of political campaigns, revealing the ways of understanding the political communication and the student to establish connections between the concepts of politics and communication.
Contents of the Course Unit: Contents of the course include topics such as election campaigns, propaganda, the structure of political messages, political communication in different forms of administration, democracy culture, tools and actors of political communication and the use of these tools.

KEY LEARNING OUTCOMES OF THE COURSE UNIT (On successful completion of this course unit, students/learners will or will be able to)

Examine the concepts and theoretical approaches on political communication through articles.
Associate the concepts of public, media, democracy and public area in accordance with the knowledge obtained.
Interpret the relation between media and politics correctly.
Compare campaigns and advertisements carried out by political parties through the latest elections with 8 items.
Design an example election campaign through group work.
