OBJECTIVES AND CONTENTS |

Objectives of the Course Unit: | This course aims to enable students to comprehend the social dimension and function of the concept of politics within the framework of their relationship with concepts such as state, power, legitimacy, domination, political structure. |
Contents of the Course Unit: | Contents of the course include; politics and social function, the field of political sociology, the concept of political power and the state, the definition of power - domination, the definition of authority and legitimacy of Weber, the appearance of the state in the Turkish political tradition, the types of government, the political elites and the public, the electoral and propaganda issues and active citizenship. |
