OBJECTIVES AND CONTENTS

Objectives of the Course Unit: This course aims to analyse transportation, which covers an important part of economic and social life in 21th century, within economic theories
Contents of the Course Unit: Contents of the course include the subjects such as transportation demand modelling which is within the concept of transportation economics, transportation costs, transportation estimation, current issues on transportation.

KEY LEARNING OUTCOMES OF THE COURSE UNIT (On successful completion of this course unit, students/learners will or will be able to)

Identify basic concepts on transportation economics.
Interpret transportation economics by using methods and tools of economics.
Evaluate the theoretical problems related to transportation or current issues using welfare economics, benefit cost analysis and similar approaches.
Explain the processes of transportation system and the data related to these processes with economic and financial reasoning.
