OBJECTIVES AND CONTENTS

Objectives of the Course Unit: This course aims to teach the basic concepts and classification of computer aided information systems in order to make the operation and management in the aviation sector more efficient and effective, and to raise awareness about the establishment of the right information systems through the system development life cycle.
Contents of the Course Unit: Contents of the course include the basic concepts, types of information systems, information systems design by organizations and strategies, components of information technology, information systems for digital organizations, e-commerce and e-business, decision systems, system analysis and design, project management for information systems.

Define information systems.
Describe the purpose and benefits of information systems.
Interpret how information systems can be used in aviation processes, the effects on error-free, complete, correct, efficient and effective operation.
Determine the information systems applications suitable for work processes in Aviation sector.
Design the modifications existing for the work processes in aviation sector.
