OBJECTIVES AND CONTENTS

Objectives of the Course Unit: This course aims to provide the students with an understanding of children's rights and to acquire professional skills to protect the rights of the child.
Contents of the Course Unit: Contents of the course include the subjects such as the concept of rights, historical development of child concept, historical development of children's rights, the place of child rights in practice and the responsibilities of the social service specialist in the implementation of children's rights.

KEY LEARNING OUTCOMES OF THE COURSE UNIT (On successful completion of this course unit, students/learners will or will be able to)

Explain the definition of various rights after learning the concept of rights
Explain the rights of the individual as a child by understanding the historical development of the concept of children
Compare the practices of child rights in professional career by comprehending the place and historical development of children's rights
Produce constructive studies on children's rights if there is a lack of these rights in his/her institution after understanding the criteria of children's rights in practice
