OBJECTIVES AND CONTENTS
Objectives of the Course Unit:	This course aims to provide the student with the competence of sustainable and ecological landscape design in accordance with the design criteria of plants as living beings, and to comprehend the aesthetic potentials of interior and exterior spaces by using plants.
Contents of the Course Unit:	Contents of the course include the subjects such as climatic natural factors, flora of Turkey, the importance of topography in landscape design, materials for landscape design, their fields and composition, the subjects of sustainability and ecological landscape design.

KEY LEARNING OUTCOMES OF THE COURSE UNIT (On successful completion of this course unit, students/learners will or will be able to)
Define the climatic natural factors. (1)
Explain the plants in interior and exterior spaces in accordance with the design criteria. (2)
Give examples of plant compositions and landscape design materials according to the flora and topography of Turkey. (2)
Identify the areas where the landscape design shall be carried out on the available topography with appropriate plants. (3)
Design ecological landscape areas. (6)
