OBJECTIVES AND CONTENTS

Objectives of the Course Unit: It is aimed to gain the knowledge that can provide basic nursing practices, competencies, interventional procedures for nursing practices, necessary knowledge and skills to care for the patient and healthy individual, nursing care system, practices for improving the health of the individual, family and society.
Contents of the Course Unit: Body Mechanics and Movement of The Patient, Principles of Body Mechanics, Body Positions, Active / Passive Movements, Skin and Self Care Activities, Cold and Warm Applications, Wound Care, Respiratory System and Applications, Upper Digestive System and Applications, Lower Digestive System and Applications, Urinary System and Applications.

Plans the movement of the patient in accordance with movement and body mechanics.
Makes hot and cold applications.
Practices nursing interventions appropriate to the technique in the applications for diagnosis and treatment in the respiratory system.
Makes nursing interventions appropriate to the technique in the upper and lower digestive system applications.
Practices nursing interventions appropriate to the technique in urinary system applications.
Makes Leather and Self Care Applications.
Practices wound care.
