OBJECTIVES AND CONTENTS

Objectives of the Course Unit:  To enable students to critically evaluate misconceptions about language in a range of ELT contexts  To enable students to gain insight and understanding about linguistic issues appearing in the national media and stay current with important linguistic research
Contents of the Course Unit: To increase students’ critical awareness of new developments in linguistics and related fields used in a range of ELT contexts.  Introducing the nature of human languages
