OBJECTIVES AND CONTENTS

Objectives of the Course Unit: The students will be able to provide care related to reproductive system of woman in all periods of their lives.
Contents of the Course Unit: Includes improving the health of female reproductive system from birth until old age.

KEY LEARNING OUTCOMES OF THE COURSE UNIT (On successful completion of this course unit, students/learners will or will be able to)

Describes male and female reproductive system and function, the fertile and infertile periods.
Manages normal labor and provide care and fetal health assessment, counsel breastfeeding.
Recognizes reproductive organ infections and sexually transmitted infections and associate gynaecologic diagnosis and treatment methods.
Monitors pregnant women and apply antenatal care.
Indicates that he/she believes the gender equality and human/women's rights while providing reproductive health services.
Provides maternal and neonatal care in postnatal period.
Provides initial and ongoing healthcare of the newborn.
Communicates with the woman considering her values, respect her privacy and gain her trust.
