OBJECTIVES AND CONTENTS

Objectives of the Course Unit: In line with the family-centered care and holistic health care philosophy; It is aimed to provide information on the development, protection and maintenance of the health of children, family and society, and their deviations from health.
Contents of the Course Unit: History of Pediatric Nursing, Pediatric Nursing, Child Health Status, Growth and Development, Neonatal Diseases, Nutrition in Childhood, Nutrition Assessment, Nutrition Disorders, Hygiene, Sleeping, Playing, Communication with Child, Approach to Sick Child and Family, Childhood Systems (Respiratory, Heart and Circulation, Digestion, Nervous, Muscle, Skeleton, Genitourinary, Endocrine, Hematology, Oncology) Common Problems and Nursing Care, Frequent Accidents in Childhood, Child Abuse and Neglect, Child Rights.
