OBJECTIVES AND CONTENTS

Objectives of the Course Unit: This course aims to introduce political, economic, social and cultural development of world civilisations by concentrating on ancient period and middle ages. This course aims to have student held the goods of comparing several civilizations with one another.
Contents of the Course Unit: Contents of the course include description of the civilization concept, introducing the development of great civilizations notably Egypt, Mesopotamia, China, India, Middle Asia, Greece, Rome and Byzantine and the East and the West and current discussions on the civilization concept.

KEY LEARNING OUTCOMES OF THE COURSE UNIT (On successful completion of this course unit, students/learners will or will be able to)

Relate and list ideas, opinions, theories and approaches regarding the history of civilizations in the correct way.
Identify basic facts and concepts as in civilization, culture, religion, politics.
Recall and express the process in the development of humanity in the correct way.
Summarize type of interaction between different civilizations.
