OBJECTIVES AND CONTENTS
Objectives of the Course Unit:	Bu dersin amacı psikoloji bölümü öğrencilerine 1 dönem boyunca; Psikoloji biliminin önemi, işleyişi, tarihi, modern psikolojik yaklaşımlar, araştırma yöntemleri, alandaki düşüncelere yön vermiş ve normal/anormal davranışlara ve psikoterapiye ışık tutmuş olan başlıca kişilik kuramlarının tanıtılmasıdır.
Contents of the Course Unit:	Bu dersin içeriği: psikolojinin tanımı, tarihi, modern psikolojik yaklaşımlar, psikolojinin alt alanları, psikolojik araştırma yöntemleri, sinir sisteminin yapısı, fizyolojisi, yenidoğan ve çocukluk dönemi kapasiteleri, bilişsel gelişim, ahlak ve yargılamanın gelişimi, kişilik ve kişilik gelişimi ile ilişkili kuramlar, bilinç yapısal ve topografik kuram, benliğin savunma düzenekleri, uyku ve rüyalar, uyku bozuklukları, psikoaktif maddeler, öğrenme kuramları, psikiyatrik muayene ve çeşitli psikiyatrik bozuklukların tanıtımından oluşmaktadır.

İnsan fizyolojisi ve psikolojik olayların işleyişini açıklar.
Olası patolojik durumları tanıma ve müdahale etme, yönlendirme konusunda bilgi verir.
Psikiyatrik olarak normal ve normal olmayan ayrımını yapar.
Farklı psikolojik yaklaşımları birbirinden ayırt eder.
Bu yaklaşımların; varsayımları, büyüme ve gelişim ile ilgili yaklaşımları, kaygının algılanması ve kaygıyla başa çıkma yollarını karşılaştırır.
