OBJECTIVES AND CONTENTS

Objectives of the Course Unit: This course aims to provide the student with the ability to analyze the foreign trade performance of a country and the effects of international economic policies.
Contents of the Course Unit: Contents of the course include the subjects such as Development of International Economics, Theory of Advantages, Heckscher-Ohlin Model Factor Endowment Theory, New Theories in Foreign Trade Model, Tariffs and Balance of Payments.

Compare the foreign trade strategies of countries.(4)
Explain the theoretical infrastructure of foreign trade models.(2)
Analyze the impact of foreign trade policy on many economic factors such as income distribution, growth and development.(4)
Explain the primary accounts of balance of international payments.(2)
Describe the instruments to be used in the elimination of foreign trade disequilibrium.(2)
Analyze the international financial institutions, how they operate and how they influence foreign trade.(4)
