OBJECTIVES AND CONTENTS

Objectives of the Course Unit: Bu dersin amacı öğrencinin sosyal antropolojinin nasıl bir bilim olduğunu, inceleme alanını, temel ilkelerini, yaklaşım ve yöntemlerini öğrenmesi ve antropolojinin kültür aşırı yaklaşımını benimseyerek faklı kültürleri anlamasını ve bu farklı kültürlere saygı duymasını sağlamaktır.
Contents of the Course Unit: Bu dersin içeriğini Antropolojinin ne olduğu ve alt dallarıyla olan ilişkileri, alanda kullanılan kuramlar, diğer bilimlerle ilişkileri ve insanlığın kronolojik izleri, etnisite, evlilik, sosyal davranış, toplumsallaşma, ahlaki gelişim, metodoloji, kültür ve kültürel değişim kavramlarının incelenmesi, beden pratiklerine bakış ve antropolojinin arkeolojik ve sanatsal kalıntılar üzerinden değerlendirilmesi ve alanla ilgili örneklemelerin incelendiği çağdaş filmlerin izlenerek tartışılması oluşturmaktadır.

Antropoloji bilimini diğer sosyal bilimlerden ayırt edilmesini mümkün kılan temel konuları ve kavramları bilir.
Kültürün insan davranışı üzerindeki etkilerini örnekler yoluyla bağıntılar kurarak tanımlar.
İnsanlık tarihini ve kültürleri geniş bir bakış açısıyla tanır.
Cinsiyet rolleri, aile, evlilik gibi konuların kültürler arası farklılıklar içerisinde oluşma sürecini açıklar.
Antropolojik bakış açısıyla günümüz modern toplumlar arasındaki sosyal ve kültürel farklılıkları ve benzerlikleri ayırt eder.
