General Information

Aim of the Program

To train graduates who 1. Are able to handle, evaluate, analyze and interpret the subjects within the scope of Psychological Science within the framework of Psychological Theories, 2. Can apply scientific research methods, statistical software and related information technologies accurately and effectively in their studies, 3. Are capable of conducting validity and reliability studies in the field of tests and techniques used in applied psychology provided that they adhere to ethical values, ​​ 4. Are able to express his/her thoughts in written and orally in at least one foreign language, 5. Are successful in problem solving, time management, self-discipline and communication skills, 6. Are able to work and take esponsibility  both independently and in a team, 7. Have a questioning attitude on the basis of scientific knowledge and scientific thinking, 8. Adopted the behavior of evaluating and actively participating in social events as the basic principle within the framework of universal values, 9. Adopting the philosophy of lifelong learning, 10. Have awareness and developed civil courage.

 

 

Target of the Program

To train graduates who will contribute to the development of the science of psychology and the profession, with an educational approach that integrates the scientific method with values ​​such as ethical principles, human rights, objectivity, social and cultural sensitivity.

 

Career Opportunities

Psychology Master's graduates, according to their degree of specialization, can be used in various clinics of hospitals, mental health institutions, rehabilitation and family counseling centers, industry and other businesses, courts, correctional institutions and detention centers, advertising agencies, institutions for mass communication such as radio and television, and a measurement tool such as ÖSYM. As professional staff, manager, consultant and expert in equipment development centers, military institutions and organizations, nursing homes, driver evaluation centers and many other institutions; they can work as educators/academics teaching the discipline of psychology in colleges and universities. Graduates can take an effective role in positions such as research development, evaluation, analysis, reporting and inspection within many public and private institutions.
