General Information

Aim of the Program

One of the main objectives of this department is to make the most effective use of existing information and technologies to shape a living space sensitive to cultural values and international standards and contribute to knowledge production. From this point of view, the department aims to increase the number of architects specializing in public and private institutions by providing graduates who are sensitive to cultural values, equipped by international standards, compatible with interdisciplinary teamwork, and entrepreneurial and managerial qualified. In other words, the aim of the architecture department in the master's program is to provide the student with the following: To provide awareness to the students participating in the program about the communication formed by the method of mutual interaction between theory and professional practice in architecture and to gain the ability to understand, comprehend and interpret architectural concepts based on real-life experiences.

Target of the Program

The objectives of the Master's Program of the Department of Architecture are as follows:

In addition to the experience that students will gain in architectural design and related fields with the design workshops to be opened, it is aimed to gain competence for certain functions in professional practice. It is aimed that students will encounter different design approaches that develop based on the knowledge and equipment of very different areas of expertise in architecture. It is aimed to develop students' awareness of their roles in the architectural profession and to take an ethical stance on the problems of architecture.

Graduates of the Master of Architecture program will be able to work in public institutions and the private sector as architects specializing in their field, compatible with interdisciplinary teamwork and entrepreneurial and managerial qualities.

Programmes allowing Horizontal Transfer

Students who have graduated from the architecture departments of universities and enrolled in a master's program have the right to horizontal transfer. In addition, graduates of Interior Architecture, Interior Architecture and Environmental Design, Civil Engineering, City and Regional Planning, and Landscape Architecture are granted the right to horizontal transfer if the Scientific Preparation conditions are completed.
