OBJECTIVES AND CONTENTS
Objectives of the Course Unit:	Bu dersin amacı, toplumsal sorunlar ile ilgili kuramsal ve kavramsal düşünebilme ve ifade etme ve güncel sorunları eleştirel bir şekilde ifade etme ve tartışma becerilerini geliştirmektir.
Contents of the Course Unit:	Bu dersin içeriğini sosyolojik bakış, sosyolojik araştırma, sosyolojik kuramlar ve yöntemler, küreselleşme, sosyal değişim konuları oluşturmaktadır.

Bilgi ve bilimin temel ilkelerini kavrar, sosyolojinin perspektifini ve benzeri bilimlerle ilişkilerini açıklayabilir.
Sosyolojik düşüncenin tarihsel gelişimini açıklayabilir.
Modern ve geleneksel sosyolojik kuramların özelliklerini kıyaslayabilir.
Bireyler, gruplar ve toplum içindeki karşılıklı ilişkileri yorumlayabilir.
Toplum dediğimiz gerçekliğin ve onu oluşturan kurumların tek tek ve karşılıklı ilişki içinde işleyişini değerlendirir.
Teoriler hakkında bilgi sahibi olur, bilimsel yöntem ve sosyolojinin yöntemini kavrar.
Toplumsal yapı ve sosyal değişmeyi kavrar, toplumu oluşturan kurumların birbirleriyle olan ilişkilerine dair çok boyutlu bakış açısı geliştirir.
