OBJECTIVES AND CONTENTS |
Objectives of the Course Unit: |
The aim of this course is to examine the influence of social structure, culture, social institutions and social change on social relations. |
Contents of the Course Unit: |
Sociological view, sociological research, sociological theories and methods, globalization, social change. |

Assess the social events and facts in a general sociological point of view. |
Explain the historical development of sociological thought. |
Compare the general characteristics of traditional and modern sociological theories. |

Interpret the impact of social institutions on individuls and groups behaviour. |
Explains the general characterstics of sociological methods. |
Develop multi-dimensional perspective on basic social institutions and relationship between them. |
