OBJECTIVES AND CONTENTS
Objectives of the Course Unit:	Öğrencilere kendi alanlarında akademik araştırmaları uluslararası bilimsel standartlarda yürütebilmelerini sağlayacak temel ilkeleri öğretmek. Öğrencilerin araştırma konusuna uygun olarak doğru veri toplama ve analiz yöntemlerini seçebilmesini sağlamak. Öğrencilerin bilimsel araştırma yöntemlerini kullanarak ve etik değerleri gözeterek, araştırma yapma beceri ve yetkinliğine sahip olmasını sağlamak. Öğrencilere bilimsel makale ve tez yazma kabiliyeti kazandırmak.
Contents of the Course Unit:	Bilim felsefesi ve metodolojisinin temel kavramlarının araştırılması, veri türlerinin çeşitli açılardan karşılaştırılması, veri toplama ve çözümleme yöntemlerinin örneklendirilmesi yapılır. Akademik kaynakları etkili kullanma ve araştırma sonuçlarını doğru aktarma becerilerinin edinilmesini sağlanır. Bilim, kuram ve araştırma ilişkisi, bilimsel araştırmanın tasarım ve gerçekleştirilmesinden raporlaştırılmasına dair süreçlerin nasıl gerçekleştirildiği üzerinde durulur. Bilimsel makale ve tez yazımı ve bu esnada uyulacak etik kurallar ele alınır.

Öğrenci araştırma yöntemlerini ve bilimsel araştırmanın temel ilkelerini bilir. Öğrenci bilimsel yöntem ve araştırma sürecinin temel kavram ve sorunlarını tartışır. Öğrenci hangi konuyu hangi araştırma yöntemi ile ele alması gerektiğine karar verir. Öğrenci akademik bağlamda bilimsel araştırma önerisi sunmak ve elde edilen sonuçları yayınlamak için gerekli yazım formatını uygular. Öğrenci nicel ve nitel araştırma yöntemlerini karşılaştırır. Öğrenci araştırmada etiğin önemini açıklar.
