OBJECTIVES AND CONTENTS

Objectives of the Course Unit: This course aims to enable students to gain the ability to adapt the quantitative methods they will use in business operations to the business life through the applications. In this course, students will be able to produce solutions by using quantitative techniques to the problems encountered in business activities.
Contents of the Course Unit: Contents of the course include; operations research, model building, mathematical solution of business problems, breakeven analysis, decision tree, linear programming topics.

KEY LEARNING OUTCOMES OF THE COURSE UNIT (On successful completion of this course unit, students/learners will or will be able to)

List the quantitative methods that can be used to solve business problems (Bloom 1).
Interpret the results of a report obtained by using quantitative method by making positive and negative evaluations (Bloom 2).
Use the data set to calculate the correct alternative to solve the business problem. (Bloom 3)
