OBJECTIVES AND CONTENTS

Objectives of the Course Unit: This course is designed to enable students to understand the relationship between international exchange regimes and foreign trade and to use them in business life. At the end of the course students will be able to understand and interpret international exchange regimes.
Contents of the Course Unit: Contents of the course include; foreign exchange legislation, foreign exchange types, foreign exchange systems, payment methods, foreign trade elements, import-export and use of foreign exchange in foreign trade.

List the ways in which businesses can use foreign exchange in foreign trade by using exchange legislation. (Bloom 1)
Illustrate the operation of the exchange system and its importance for the economy (Blooms 2).
Interpret the exchange rate change in line with the supply demand concept. (Bloom 2)
Calculate the effects of exchange rate risk on enterprises by using numerical examples (Bloom 3).
