OBJECTIVES AND CONTENTS

Objectives of the Course Unit: The aim of this course is to reveal different approaches to the relationship between media and politics and to explain the interaction of media with society and the political system.
Contents of the Course Unit: The content of this course consists of the concepts of public opinion, mass culture, mass media, political economy of the media, monopolization in the media, disinformation-misinformation, political marketing and advertising, and the influence of the media on public opinion.

Explain the concepts and factors in the relationship between media and politics.
Summarize the political economy structure of the media.
Evaluation the power of media to create public opinion.
