OBJECTIVES AND CONTENTS

Objectives of the Course Unit: This course aims to establish the concept of public relations and the steps to be followed in a public relations study and to form the foundation for the students to create campaigns by discussing the steps of creating strategic plans and activity plans in the light of sample practices.
Contents of the Course Unit: Contents of the course include the subjects as in Defining the concept of public relations, listing the fields of practices of public relations, summarizing the steps of the activity planning, assessment of a sample public relations campaign, making strategic plan.

List planning steps in public relations campaigns
Present a presentation about basic knowledge and practice areas of public relations
Develop public relations and management planning according to public relations planning criteria
Choose appropriate methods and tools for targeted communication purposes in public relations practices
Apply a public relations campaign following the planning and management steps
Analyze public relations management processes through a case study
Combine the institution's overall targets and plans with public relations strategy in a compatible way
