OBJECTIVES AND CONTENTS
Objectives of the Course Unit:	Bu dersin amacı; toplumsal yapı ile kültür arasındaki ilişkiyi temel sosyolojik yaklaşımlar içerisinde ele almak ve kültürün toplumsal yapının devamlılığındaki işlevsel rolünü açıklamaktır. Bunun yanında kültür kavramının küreselleşme ile birlikte değişen görünümleri üzerine öğrencinin değerlendirme yapma kabiliyetini kazanmasıdır.
Contents of the Course Unit:	Bu dersin içeriğini; kültür kavramının tanımlanması, klasik ve çağdaş sosyolojik tartışmalarda kavramın ele alınışı, kültürün diğer toplumsal kurumlarla olan ilişkisi, kültürün kullanımı, küreselleşme ve kültür kavramı ile Türkiye’de kültür tartışmaları oluşturmaktadır.

Bir toplumda kültürün gelişimini ve değişimini hem yerel hem de küresel gelişmeleri hesaba katarak yorumlar.
Kültürün toplumsal işlevini ayırt eder.
Türkiye’de kültür üzerine yapılan araştırmaların nitel ve nicel verilerini değerlendirir.
