Objectives of the Course Unit: | This course aims to help students have a general understanding of the western philosophy from Renaissance period to the 20th century and to analyze and evaluate philosophical concepts and problems in a historical context. |
Contents of the Course Unit: | Contents of the course include; the philosophy of Renaissance, reformation, 17th century Enlightenment philosophy, Descartes, Spinoza, Leibniz, Hume, Berkeley, Locke, Kant, Nietzsche, Sartre and Foucault. |
