OBJECTIVES AND CONTENTS

Objectives of the Course Unit: This course aims to teach the meaning of the concept of ethics and its way of being understood in the historical process and to enable students to adopt ethical values against situations they may encounter in the field of communication.
Contents of the Course Unit: Contents of the course include the subjects as in ethical rules of written and visual media, concept of ethics in the historical process, mutual assessment of ethics-moral concepts, social media and ethical values.

KEY LEARNING OUTCOMES OF THE COURSE UNIT (On successful completion of this course unit, students/learners will or will be able to)

Describe the concepts of ethics and moral.
Recognize the censor and self-censor in press and media.
Analyse the contents of national and international media organizations in the context of ethical values.
Argue the freedom of press within the framework of ethics.
