OBJECTIVES AND CONTENTS

Objectives of the Course Unit: The aim of this course is to convey the theoretical (psychoanalytic, semiotic, structuralist, ideological, etc.) structure of film analysis to the student, and to prepare a ground for critically discussing a film that the student watches.
Contents of the Course Unit: The content of the course consists of psychoanalytic, social, ideological, structuralist, semiotic film analyzes through general information about film analysis and sample films.

KEY LEARNING OUTCOMES OF THE COURSE UNIT (On successful completion of this course unit, students/learners will or will be able to)

The student recognizes the methods of film analysis.
The student examines a movie who watched from a critical perspective with the information who has acquired.
The student examines a film he/she watched from a critical perspective with the information he/she has acquired.
The student distinguishes which of the film analysis methods the film he/she watches will be analyzed and analyzes it by applying the analysis method suitable for the film.
