OBJECTIVES AND CONTENTS

Objectives of the Course Unit: This course aims at defining the concepts of gender and sexuality, and discussing intersectionality of gender and sexuality with other social/economic identity categories including class, race, ethnicity, nationality, religion, physical disability/desirability, age and health.
Contents of the Course Unit: This course deals with the diversity of gender-sexual orientation, equality, and its representation in the works of prose, poetry and film.

KEY LEARNING OUTCOMES OF THE COURSE UNIT (On successful completion of this course unit, students/learners will or will be able to)

explain the concepts of gender and sexuality verbally or written.
relate the intersectionality of gender and sexuality with other social/economic identity categories including class, race, ethnicity, nationality, religion, physical disability/desirability, age and health.
interpret the representation of gender and sexuality in the works of prose, poetry and film.
illustrate a gender and sexuality-based criticism in a writing task.
argue about gender-sexual orientation diversity and equality in a writing task.
