Objectives of the Course Unit:	Bu dersin amacı, göstergebilim kuram ve ilkelerinden yola çıkarak göstergebilim hakkında bilgi sahibi olunmasının ve göstergebilimsel çözümleme yapabilmesinin sağlanmasıdır.
Contents of the Course Unit:	Bu dersin içeriğini göstergebilimin tanımı ve kökeni, göstergebilim kuramcıları, göstergebilimin diğer bilim dallarıyla ilişkisi ile medya araçları üzerinden göstergebilimsel çözümleme teknikleri oluşturmaktadır.
