OBJECTIVES AND CONTENTS

Objectives of the Course Unit: Bu ders, kent yönetim politikalarında sürdürülebilirlik kavramının yarattığı değişimi temel kent hizmetlerinin yerine getirilmesi süreciyle birlikte el almayı amaçlamaktadır.
Contents of the Course Unit: Bu dersin içeriği, kent ve kentleşme kavramları, sürdürülebilirlik kavramı, kent kavramı ve sürdürülebilirlik anlayışının birleştirilmesi, kentleşme sürecinden doğan sorunlar; nüfus, ekolojik sorunlar, konut yerleşme vb., sağlıklı ve sürdürülebilir kent kavramının doğuşu ve kabul görüşü Türkiye’de kentleşme süreci ve sorunları kent ve bölge planlaması, kent planlama çalışmaları, kent planlamasının yasal uygulama araçları yerleşim sorunları, kamu hizmeti ve konut, konut ve kentleşme ilişkileri, kent güvenliği, kentli hakları , dünyada ve Türkiye’de sürdürülebilirlik anlayışıyla geliştirilen kent hizmetlerinin karşılaştırılması konularını içerir.

Sürdürülebilirlik kavramının sahip olduğu temel değerleri hatırlar.
Dünyada ve Türkiye’deki sürdürülebilirlik anlayışıyla geliştirilen kent hizmetlerini karşılaştırır.
Nüfus, doğal kaynaklar, ekolojik sorunlar, konut yerleşme, mekan, su gibi temel olgularıyla birlikte kentin sürdürülebilirliği yaklaşımını özetler.
Sürdürülebilir yönetim için en önemli unsurlar arasında yer alan sağlıklı kentler ve akılcı yerleşim politikalarını değerlendirir.
Sürdürülebilir ve yaşanabilir sağlıklı kentleri tanımlayıp sahip oldukları avantajları tartışır.
