OBJECTIVES AND CONTENTS
Objectives of the Course Unit:	Dersin amacı; eğitim sosyolojisinde temel yaklaşımları ele alarak, bir toplumsal kurum olarak eğitimin işlevlerini anlamak, özellikle Türkiye’de eğitim ve modernleşme arasındaki ilişki çerçevesinde okullar üzerine sosyolojik bakış açısı geliştirmek ve ilkokuldan üniversiteye uzanan eğitim sistemi üzerine hem sorunlar hem de çözümler çerçevesinde öğrencinin yorum yapabileceği bir birikime sahip olmasını sağlamaktır.
Contents of the Course Unit:	Dersin içeriğini; eğitim sosyolojisinde yaklaşımlar, eğitim kavramı ve toplumsal işlevi, Türkiye’de eğitim ve modernleşme, Türkiye’de ekonomik durum ve cinsiyet ile eğitim arasındaki ilişki ve Türkiye’de üniversite eğitimi üzerine tartışmalar oluşturmaktadır.
