OBJECTIVES AND CONTENTS
Objectives of the Course Unit:	Bu derste çağdaş dünya tarihine ilişkin başlıca kuramsal bakışlar ve temel tarihsel bilgiler ışığında, 20. yüzyılda dünya üzerinde meydana gelen ekonomik ve siyasi gelişmeleri ele alarak, kuramsal bir bakış açısı ile olaylara yaklaşmak amaçlanmaktadır.
Contents of the Course Unit:	Dersin içeriği 19. yüzyıl fikir akımları ve dünyaya etkileri, 19. ve 20. yüzyılda sömürgecilik faaliyetleri, I. Dünya Savaşı öncesi Avrupa'nın ve dünyanın genel görünümü, I. Dünya Savaşı, I. Dünya Savaşı sonrası dünyanın genel görünümü, 1929 Büyük Buhranı, II. Dünya Savaşı Öncesi Dünya Siyaseti: Faşizm ve Nazizimin doğuşu, SSCB ve Komünizm, II.Dünya Savaşı, II. Dünya Savaşı sonrası dünyanın genel görünümü, Soğuk Savaş, Sovyetler’in dağılması sonrası yeni dünya düzeni gibi konulardan oluşmaktadır.

Avrupa, Amerika, Ortadoğu, Afrika ve Asya''da merkezileşen güçler ve aralarındaki çıkar çatışmalarını yorumlar.
I. Dünya Savaşı, II. Dünya Savaşı ve Soğuk Savaş döneminde meydana gelen gelişmeleri, tarihsel bağlamlarını gözönünde bulundurarak ilişkilendirir.
