OBJECTIVES AND CONTENTS
Objectives of the Course Unit:	Bu dersin amacı öğrencilerin batı felsefesinin Antik Yunan döneminden Rönesans’a kadarki dönemini ana hatlarıyla tanıması, felsefi kavram ve problemleri tarihsel bağlamda analiz edip değerlendirmesidir.
Contents of the Course Unit:	Bu dersin içeriğini; felsefenin doğuşuna dair tartışma, antikçağda felsefe – presokratikler, Sokrates, Platon, Aristoteles, Aristoteles sonrası (perioatetikler) septisizm, Ortaçağda felsefe, İslam dünyasında felsefe, Descartes, Leibniz konuları oluşturmaktadır.

Batı felsefesinin Antik Yunan’da doğuşundan Rönesans’a kadarki tarihsel gelişimini tanır.
Tarihsel gelişim içerisinde en önemli filozofların fikir ve pozisyonlarını açıklar.
Batı felsefesinin Antik Yunan’da doğuşundan Rönesans’a kadarki farklı felsefi dönemleri sınıflandırır.
Tarihsel bağlam içerisinde felsefi kavramların nasıl ortaya çıkıp geliştiğini analiz eder.
Batı felsefesinin en önemli problemlerini tarihsel bağlam içinde değerlendirir.
