OBJECTIVES AND CONTENTS

Objectives of the Course Unit: This course aims to learn and apply preventive protection techniques and emergency restoration works in order to prevent serious deterioration in buildings and architectural elements in historical buildings and archaeological sites.
Contents of the Course Unit: Contents of the course include preventive protection techniques used in light of the international regulations to prevent (anticipated) deterioration in the works.

Understand the purpose of preventive conservation.
Understand preventive conservation and emergency restoration techniques.
Analyze preventive conservation techniques within framework of international conservation legislations.
Choose elements required during preventive conservation application.
Differentiate preventive conservation applications structurally and objectively
Apply preventive conservation and emergency restoration techniques.
Report preventive conservation and emergency restoration applications systematically and chronologically.
