OBJECTIVES AND CONTENTS

Objectives of the Course Unit: This course aims to discuss the importance of Public Relations practices in terms of sustainability management of enterprises and to provide students with the knowledge and skills to link the concepts of brand, ethics, social responsibility, environmental awareness, innovation, awareness with sustainability and public relations.
Contents of the Course Unit: The contents of the course include the subjects such as explanation of Sustainability, Public Relations, Corporate Social Responsibility, Brand Communication conceptually; the importance of public relations practises in sustainability understanding of brands, use of mass media and social media tools in terms of Public Relations and Sustainability (examples); the relationship between environmental consciousness and ethics with public relations and sustainability management; Measurement of sustainability in public relations.

KEY LEARNING OUTCOMES OF THE COURSE UNIT (On successful completion of this course unit, students/learners will or will be able to)

Define the concepts related to public relations and sustainability.
Interpret the relationship between sustainability, corporate social responsibility, ethics and brand concepts with public relations.
Describe the place and importance of public relations practices in the sense of sustainability of brands.
Interpret the SWOT analysis of company using the theoretical knowledge gained in the field of sustainability and public relations.
Prepare a public relations campaign plan that supports sustainability.
