OBJECTIVES AND CONTENTS

Objectives of the Course Unit: The aim of this course is to obtain the competence of conservation and repair of Mosaic and Wall Paintings.
Contents of the Course Unit: The content of this course is the rules and methods to be followed in the conservation of Mosaic and Wall Paintings (Frescoes).

Analyze historical development process and construction techniques of Mosaic and Wall paintings.
Identify types of deterioration in mosaics and wall.
Use materials, tools and devices used in mosaic and Wall painting conservation and restoration.
Prepare mosaics and Wall paintings by conservation equipment and conservation materials that match the original materials available.
Apply technical drawings related to mosaic and wall painting conservation and restoration.
