OBJECTIVES AND CONTENTS

Objectives of the Course Unit: This course aims to gain the method of documentation studies by researching construction techniques and material information on the work to be conserved and restored. Detection of the deteriorations observed in historical monuments and the problems that may be encountered and arranging the proper method of scientific protection in a technical report.
Contents of the Course Unit: Contents of the course include documenting the construction techniques and material information in the works to be conserved and restored, selecting and planning the appropriate conservation methods and presenting them in a technical report.

KEY LEARNING OUTCOMES OF THE COURSE UNIT (On successful completion of this course unit, students/learners will or will be able to)

Analyze the construction techniques and materials on the work to be conserved and restored.
Apply documentation applications on the work to be conserved and restored respectively.
Understand the ways and methods of identifying conservation problems on the work to be conserved and restored.
Define the ways of selecting and planning of conservation methods on the work to be conserved and restored.
Report the ways and methods of project and planning in a single work or extensive study.
