OBJECTIVES AND CONTENTS

Objectives of the Course Unit: This course aims to teach the theories and concepts of demography, the methods and techniques used in population research, the developments in the world population, migration and population relations, the distribution of regional population distributions within the general population distribution and the effect of population on social economic developments and to evaluate what is learned in terms of demographics of Avcilar.
Contents of the Course Unit: Contents of the course include the subjects such as theories and concepts about demography, methods and techniques used in population research, developments in world population, migration and population relations, the analysis of regional population distributions within the general population distribution, learning population impact in social economic developments and evaluation of what is learned in terms of demographics of Avcilar.

KEY LEARNING OUTCOMES OF THE COURSE UNIT (On successful completion of this course unit, students/learners will or will be able to)

Explain the theories and concepts about demography by readings, research and in-class learning
Analyze issues related to demography such as developments in the world population, migration and population relations, and distribution of regional population distributions within the general population distribution by readings, research and in-class learning
Relate between the issues learned and the studies of the demography of the Avcilar region by evaluating what they have learned in the context of hunters demographics
Produce solutions about population impact in social economic developments by reading, doing research, in-class learning and discussing
Adapt the methods and techniques used in population research to the field by reading, doing research, learning through in-class practice activities
