OBJECTIVES AND CONTENTS

Objectives of the Course Unit: This course aims to increase the basic vocabulary and language structure by teaching Turkish sign language at the basic level and to provide students with the ability to communicate with the hearing impaired in daily life.
Contents of the Course Unit: Contents of the course include the subjects such as alphabets, culture, development and structure of Turkish Sign Language (TSL).

KEY LEARNING OUTCOMES OF THE COURSE UNIT (On successful completion of this course unit, students/learners will or will be able to)

Explain the historical development of sign language by learning the history of Turkish Sign Language
Finalize the sentences in accordance with the Turkish Sign Language alphabet after learning this alphabet
Contact with the hearing impaired persons in the organizations to be held by comprehending the structure of Turkish Sign Language
Produce new and constructive projects related to this field by discussing deficiencies in this field
