OBJECTIVES AND CONTENTS

Objectives of the Course Unit: This course aims to introduce basic concepts of strategic management, importance of strategic management in gaining an advantage with the sustainable competition in business organization, how to make strategic plans for the business organization.
Contents of the Course Unit: Contents of the course include; ways to make strategic plans for the business organization, assessing of strategic management in business organizations and defining the control process.

KEY LEARNING OUTCOMES OF THE COURSE UNIT (On successful completion of this course unit, students/learners will or will be able to)

Interpret basic concepts with regard to strategic management.
Analyze internal and external environmental factors effecting business organizations.
Summarize theories regarding strategic management
Develop strategic planning models and sense of understanding of planning to be made in accordance with the components of this model.
Identify strategic management goals.
Explain application tools of strategic management in business organizations over case studies and homework.
