Objectives and Contents

Objectives: This course aims to 1. Know, explain and interpret the theories of evolutionary psychology 2. Describe and explain human behaviour, cognition and emotion processes from an evolutionary perspective 3. Evaluate empirical findings and hypotheses with a critical approach using scientific criteria 4. Gain the necessary skills and abilities to follow the developments in other sciences related to evolutionary psychology and psychology.
Content: Contents of the course include the subjects such as "using the theory of evolution to explain human behaviour, emotion and cognitive processes, the effect of natural selection on human behaviour, the evolutionary roots of social behaviour, the development and evolution of cognitive processes, emotions and evolution, physiological and cultural evolution".
