OBJECTIVES AND CONTENTS

Objectives of the Course Unit: This course aims to introduce the supply chain and to explain logistics and service marketing by explaining the importance of logistics.
Contents of the Course Unit: Contents of the course include the subjects such as the historical development and the scope of logistics, Definition and Development of Marketing and Marketing Concepts, Marketing Environment, Competition and Competitor Analysis, Strategic Planning and Role of Marketing, Strategic Management Elements, Marketing Research and Information Systems and Market Types - Consumer Markets and Consumer Behaviours, Market Segmentation, Target Market Selection and Sales Forecasting, Marketing Mix - Product, Marketing Mix - Price, Promotion/Marketing Communication, Marketing Mix - Distribution.

Define the developments and policies of modern logistics at the present day.
Define the basic characteristics of enterprises in logistics.
Define the concept of service logistics.
Compare the classical and contemporary theories such as Rational Choice Theory, Innovation Diffusion Theory and Technology Acceptance Model.
