OBJECTIVES AND CONTENTS

Objectives of the Course Unit: This course aims to intorduce the students basically the principles of transportation management, the place of distribution and transportation in the logistics process, transportation systems, transportation modes and intermodal transportation, urban transportation, the role of e-commerce and customer services in transportation.
Contents of the Course Unit: Contents of the course include the subjects as in Computer-aided information systems, decision support systems, optimization modellings, transportation modelling through simulation, advanced statistics and commercial logistics software.
