Objectives and Contents

Objectives: The basic principles of podology are medical diagnoses and treatment plan, performing medical instructions and collaborating with physicians, teaching the use and cleaning of tools to be used in foot care.
Content: Types and application of prosthetic nails, nail trimming clips and application, gaining the ability to apply nail creations, orthoses and cleaning hardened heels with pumice stone or foot file, problems that may be encountered in foot care, arrangement of equipment to be used in foot care, special bandages, pressure reductions and protection from friction, points to be considered in the decoration of the places where podological applications will be made, legal responsibilities of podological applications, sterilization of equipment used in foot care, sterilization of equipment used in foot care, disinfection of places where podological applications will be made.
