OBJECTIVES AND CONTENTS

Objectives of the Course Unit: This course aims to intorduce how the areas that are digitalized and still in the process of digitalization from business life to our daily life, from social media to traditional media, from art to sports, from politics to economy affected and to examine how the past and today of the era that we are in formed by digitalization.
Contents of the Course Unit: Contents of the course include the subjects such as Digitalized socio-cultural environment data, social media, change and transformation of public space, effect of digital on production and consumption stage.

KEY LEARNING OUTCOMES OF THE COURSE UNIT (On successful completion of this course unit, students/learners will or will be able to)

Describe the concept of Digital Culture.
Connect the link between theoretical and practical knowledge and ideas on digitalization and culture.
Learn to what extent different disciplines are affected by digital culture and evaluate the differences and similarities between them.
Study Internet, Informatics, Information and new communication technologies.
Evaluate the events based on online practices and ideologies especially based on activist movements.
