Objectives of the Course Unit: | This course aims to introduce basic concepts in mathematics and states importance of mathematics and analytic thinking. |
Contents of the Course Unit: | Contents of the course include mathematical modelling, number systems and basic concepts, functions, single variable function- linear models, derivatives, derivatives of non-linear functions, applications in derivatives and maximum and minimum, drawing graphs of function, tangent line approach and differentials, economical applications in derivatives, multi-variable functions, local extremums, economical applications in multi-variable functions, introduction to probability, hypotheses probability and Bayes formula. |
