OBJECTIVES AND CONTENTS

Objectives of the Course Unit: Objective of the course is to help students to understand the features of Turkish language. Students can overcome their deficiencies with samples of course and consolidate the rules of language. At the ends of the course, it is aimed to develop students' vocabulary through written and oral texts; to comply with spelling rules, to use punctuation marks properly. It is expected that students use their native language efficiently.
Contents of the Course Unit: Contents of the course include; types of sentences, incoherencies, paragraphs, types of written expression, types of oral expression, writing rules and punctuation marks.

KEY LEARNING OUTCOMES OF THE COURSE UNIT (On successful completion of this course unit, students/learners will or will be able to)

List the written and verbal expression types by using the opinions of researchers who conducted study on Turkish.
Conduct practices to comprehend the types of sentences with sample texts.
Use information sources within and outside the field while writing texts.
Categorize incoherencies on sample texts according to their types.
Evaluate the sample texts by considering the spelling rules and punctuations.
Evaluate the sample texts with an academic perspective and with scientific, critical, creative and constructive thinking.
